- We gathered at the Holy Cross Abbey Retreat Center in Berryville, VA and heard Father Paul M. Grankauskas from nearby St. Bridget parish talk about the Divine Office (which priests do every day) and how it has blessed his faith journey--and can bless ours as well. We joined the Cistercian monks at their nearby chapel for the Vigils, Lauds, Sext, None, Vespers, and Compline prayers and Mass. And, we heard from a Cistercian brother about the call to the monastic life.
