About the 2025 Future with Hope Women's Conference

Maria's forthcoming book, A Beautiful Second Act, contains encouragement and wisdom from the likes of Hildegard of Bingen, Dorothy Day, Josephine Bakhita, Grandmama Moses and those Maria calls "contemporary soul sisters" who experienced challenges in their transition to midlife and beyond.

Maria also will present on her book Our Lady of Charity: How a Cuban Devotion to Mary Helped Me Grow in Faith and Love.

Maria is also the author of the best-selling My Badass Book of Saints. She writes about all the things that she loves. A cradle Catholic, she struggles with living in the world but not being of it, and blogs about those successes and failures. She is the Media Editor at Catholicmom.com, an arm of Holy Cross Family Ministries and hosts the Catholic Mom podcast and CatholicMom prayercast. She and her husband of 40 years recently moved to Virginia.
